This season will see children continue to develop their ICT skills in a fun and interactive way. Children will learn to cut and paste, crop and edit photos and images as they create 'Wanted' posters and learn all sorts of new skills through other fun activities.

Team Games         Multi Purpose Room     With Linda Black and Silvia Hewitt

Team games are a great way to build up social skill and team-work understanding; but also a fantastic and fun way to make new friends whilst keeping fit and active!

Sketch Club                    4LB                        with Matt Smart

Come and improve your artistic skills in this ASA that provides children an opportunity to sketch and draw.

Chess Club     Room TBC     With Charles Cowan

Chess is a board game involving strategy and forward thinking. Join this club to play against fellow chess enthusiasts and hone your skills to take on the teacher!

New Image Rugby         Field 2         with Scott Nierhoster

An exciting version of rugby aimed for younger children. It is a free flowing game designed to enhance running and passing skills used in rugby. This ASA will include skill sessions on passing, catching and support play as well as game time.
Please be aware that this ASA is outdoors. Please pack your children with appropriate gear for this sport.

Origami            3AO            With Michelle Bourne

This ASA will give children the chance to explore the ancient Japanese art of paper folding. Each week children will learn to fold a new object which they may play with and bring home with them.

Brownies Troop       Room TBC         With Alicia Jones

In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Through a myriad of enriching experiences, such as extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships, girls grow courageous and strong. Girl Scouting helps girls develop their full individual potential; relate to others with increasing understanding, skill, and respect; develop values to guide their actions and provide the foundation for sound decision-making; and contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills, and cooperation with others.

Did you know that universities give preference to Girl Scouts, 80% of women business owners were Girl Scouts, 69% of US Senators were Girl Scouts, and virtually every female astronaut who has flown to space was a Girl Scout!  We are so excited for our girls to be able to join the 16,000 Girl Scouts who are overseas in BSB Troop #05730!

Upon signing up for Girl Scouts, an information packet full of information and your daughter’s application form will be delivered to her classroom for her to return at our first meeting in ASA Season 3!  For more information about Girl Scouting, please visit www.girlscouts.org.

In the meantime, please click here to read about the associated costs and needs for this activity. Also, if you are a parent that would be willing to help out we'd love to hear from you, please contact alicia.jones@britishschool.org.cn

Arabic Club                  1MK            With Mariam Khalik

Arabic language and culture is for intermediate and advanced learners. This ASA will focus on building classical Arabic vocabulary and phases. The children will also practice Arabic handwriting (Naskh or rikaa script depending on age/level), focussing on correct letter formation and each letters different forms. There will also be opportunities to learn some traditional children’s stories and make some tasty dishes. This ASA is advised for children who have a basic knowledge of the Arabic language and desire to build on this.
