and City News
invite you to the Valley Business Luncheon
Guest speaker: Ray Smith - Bribsane Lord Mayoral Candidate
Topic : Vision for the Valley's Future
Ray is a Brisbane boy who started up his own small business 20 years ago, editing reels of film by himself in a tiny room. Today, that business now employs over 150 people and it’s even won the Lord Mayor’s award for being Brisbane’s best business. Ray’s got real world experience and knows that successful leadership means hard work, having goals and bringing out the best in people.
Ray’s back to basics approach doesn’t mean expensive toll tunnels or ego-driven monuments that have to be paid for by more parking fines, rates increases and wasteful debt repayments of $4 million a week. It means getting the priorities right, looking after our suburbs and putting money back into the community where it belongs - on things like better public transport, fixing our footpaths and local roads, safer playgrounds for our kids, and supporting our hardworking community groups.
Guest speaker: Michelle Barisic - BrisConnections Communications Manager

Topic : Embarking on a road revolution. Airportlink is vital to ensure better connectivity between Brisbane’s key economic zones - WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS !
