Principal for a Day is an opportunity for corporate and community leaders to get a first-hand look at what Guilford County is doing to improve instruction in our schools as well as to experience what is demanded of principals in their dual roles as managers and instructional leaders.
Participants are matched with one of Guilford County's public elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, middle colleges or specialty schools. Particpants begin the day when the principal does, often meeting the principal before school for staff meetings, shadowing them during the morning and meeting with other Principals and Principals for the Day for a lunch discussion.
