Event Details
Now more than ever, with the recession putting unprecedented financial and operating stress on the charitable world, nonprofits must be good storytellers. Communication must be clear, simple and authentic. Nonprofits must create a culture of communication through leadership, listening and the strategic use of a broad range of media tools to reach a broad range of constituents. Topics this workshop will address include creating a culture of communication, developing a media strategy, working with the news media, and using social media.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Leading the session will be Todd Cohen, editor and publisher of the Philanthropy Journal, a program of the Institute for Nonprofits at N.C. State University.
