Congratulations! This letter is to inform you that you have been nominated for induction in the 2011 AMAA Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

The AMAA Martial Arts Hall of Fame is an organization dedicated to the growth of the martial arts. Your name was submitted to the AMAA Hall of Fame by our search for martial arts hero’s committee, which is chaired by Grandmaster Jessie Bowen and co-chaired by Shihan Diane Whitfield.

This event will be held on October 22, 2011, at the Durham Civic Center, 201 Foster Street, Durham, NC 27701 at 7:00 p.m. Our Guest Speaker is Don “the Dragon” Wilson, Martial Artist, Kickboxing Champion and Film Star.

Through our advisory board and search team we have developed a candidate pool of individuals who we deemed  worthy of induction into the American Martial Arts Alliance Hall of Fame. The martial arts hero’s search committee, sent nomination ballots to practicing martial artist whom they feel deserve honor and recognition for outstanding dedication and contribution to the martial arts.

Selected nominees will have demonstrated excellence in their art and unselfishly promoted the growth and prestige of the martial arts in their communities. Many have done so for years without recognition or gratitude. Our purpose is to take the time to honor those who have enriched the lives of others.

Once ballots are received, nominees are notified by this letter and the selection process is initiated. In order to complete the selection of inductees, we request a timely response to this letter if you plan to accept the nomination and attend the event.

Please forward the following items: (1) a copy of your present certificate of rank, and (2) the enclosed Acceptance of Nomination form and induction fee. These items must be received no later than September 30, 2011.
