According to the Dove® Campaign for Real Beauty, only 2% of women around the world regard themselves as beautiful. And 81% of women in the U.S. strongly agree that the media and advertising set an unrealistic standard of beauty that most women will never be able to achieve. Women feel an enormous pressure to be beautiful and are aware of constant evaluations of their appearance!
We aim to dispel the widely accepted myth of our culture that tells women that their self-worth (and their worth to others) is based on how they look and what they weigh. Our goal is to celebrate the TRUE BEAUTY of all women, no matter shape or size, age or stage of life!
In addition to the runway fashion show, the evening will include vendor booths highlighting products and services for especially for women, hors d’oeuvres, a cash wine bar, 50+ fabulous door prizes, and a raffle Grand Prize!
