Event Details
Please join us Join us for this how-to, hands-on session about Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and e-blast services that can help you tell your nonprofit’s story and raise funds.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Trish Perkins, local on-line guru, will lead this fast-paced and informative session on how social media is being used by nonprofits, and how you can use it to enhance the effectiveness of your communications.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
We will also have a panel of 3 local nonprofit leaders including Mark Sills of Faith Action International, Debbie Lumpkins of High Point Arts Council, and Sharon Gray of Animal Rescue and Foster Program, who are using social media effectively. They will share with you what they use, how they use it and the results they have achieved.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
There will be an optional 1 hour session following the general session for those who would like to stay and set up their organization's Facebook. You must purchase the appropriate ticket for this optional session and bring your laptop with you in order to participate in this segment. Westover Church has WiFi.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
We will survey the attendees at the session to determine what additional social media sessions you would like for us to produce. This is a huge topic with various nonprofits at various levels of expertise, so we suspect this will need to be a series in order to address the needs of our members.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
You must purchase a ticket in order to attend. Registrants will not be accepted at the door on the day of the event. Tickets can be purchased in the lower left section of this page. PLEASE CLICK ON "CONTACT ORGANIZER" AND SEND US THE NAME(s) OF ANYONE FOR WHOM YOU PURCHASE TICKETS IN ADDITION TO YOURSELF. This workshop is only for the staff and board of member organizations.
