Oasis Church is commissioning a team of 12 all adult tempory volunteer missionaries for a mission trip to Costa Rica in July 2010. The team will be working with a ministry center in San Jose dealing with feeding, clothing and spiritual growth for refugee and under-privileged children. They will be building a fence around a children's center so that it will stop being robbed. Another team will be providing support for a local mission by providing meals for children who most often do not eat any other meals than what is provided at the center. In addition children are not allowed to attend school with out freshly pressed uniforms and supplies. For families that often cannot even afford food, the $125 needed for uniforms is totally out of reach. This team has already helped over 150 children attend school and that number is rising. For more information about one of the ministry opportunites we are involved with, please visit http://www.sponsorcostaricakids.com/. We need you help to make this mission successful.

We had a large group fundraiser that has allowed us to raise almost half of the trip costs, but there is still much more we need to raise. Please consider partnering with us in this minsistry by donating to the work we are doing in Costa Rica. Help us to share the love of Christ in a very tangible way.
Oasis has an active ministry presence in the local community through feeding the homeless, Good Samaritan Medical Clinic, Common Ground Farm and other need based ministry organizations.
Thank you to everyone that attended Flavors of West Volusia, our main fundraiser for this trip. We had over 225 people, 15 restaurants, over 80 silent auction items, and a ton of fun. The music provided by Josh Thomas on guitar and KC Sound Express DJ's set the mood for people to sit back relax and enjoy the delicious food.
