A twelve week course that will be a continuation of the traditional text, Nurul Idah by Imam Hasan As-Shurunbulali. During this class we will focus on the absolute essential aspects of Fasting and Zakah. This course will give students the opportunity to develop an understanding of these two important topics in Islamic sacred law, according to the Hanafi School of Thought.
Teacher: Imam Mohammad Mujibur Rahman completed the Alim Course at the Madressa Arabia Islamia in South Africa, where he studied Arabic, Tafseer (Qur’anic exegesis), ‘Aqeedah (Islamic doctrine), Hadith, and Fiqh (jurisprudence) for 6 years. There, he also learned Tajweed and the 10 modes of Qir’aat (recitations of the Qur’an). After his completion of the Alim Course, he went to Darul Uloom Deoband in India, where he continued his studies in Hanafi fiqh, and took extra courses learning the madhhab. Currently, he serves as Imam, Khateeb, and teacher in Madina Masjid in Manhattan, New York.
