Inaugural Low Country Grits Festival............ an invitation to "Eat Mo' Grits"
featuring a family friendly afternoon with...THE COPPERTONES and some of the finest chefs in Charleston in a knock-down, drag-out "grits-for-all" competition. Don't miss it!
The Fun will include:
Live music performed by The Coppertones. "Grits Toss" and "Grit Eating Competion".
"Best Grits" competion between several local restaurants including The Boathouse, Carolinas, JPaulz and Triangle Char and Bar as well as others to be announced.
All attendees will be invited to sample all of the different grits and then vote for their favorite. The winner will receive a trophy to display in their restaurant.
Other food selections will be available for purchase from several of your favorite Charleston restaurants.
A selection of wine, beer and other refreshments will be provided for puchase.
Children 12 and under; free.
Come enjoy the view of the water down at the dock on Bowens island. The food is great, the beer is cold, and The Coppertones will help you relax and make the most of a perfect Sunday!
