Event Details
One of the fundamental rites in the practice of the traditional Yoruba Orisa/Ifá spiritual tradition is the weekly worship commonly called Osé. Whether it is for Ifá, Sàngó, or any òrìsà, Osé is widely practiced as a way to connect with the spiritual forces. Osé is the weekly personal worship ritual performed by traditional Yoruba devotees towards their Òrìsà. In this informative workshop, you will learn how to do Osé properly for your Òrìsà through methods practiced in Yorubaland. This workshop is designed for priests and non-priests alike. If you have an Òrìsà, this workshop is for you.
Some of the topics to be covered in this workshop:
• History and Purpose of Osé
• Elements of Worship
• Yoruba Worship Calendar
• Òrìsà Salutations
• Benefits of Osé
• Traditional Offerings
Handouts will be provided for each attendee.
