The Community Foundation, the United Way of Greater Greensboro and the Guilford Nonprofit Consortium invite nonprofit organizations to join us for a clear description of the Stimulus funds the City of Greensboro is seeking and the process by which nonprofit organizations can apply for them.
Denise Turner, Assistant City Manager and other city staff, will detail the Stimulus funds that the City is seeking and explain the process by which nonprofits can apply for access to those funds. Denise will also describe the discretionary funds that are available through direct application from nonprofits to the federal government for certain aspects of the stimulus funding. Stimulus funds that will come through the City include those related to the following categories: housing, job training, and energy. Denise will also describe certain discretionary funds related to health and human services, youth programs, education, and immigrant assimilation, for which nonprofits can apply directly.
