Event Details
Ensuring compliance with the California Code of Regulations can be overwhelming, especially with the threat of enforcement looming over your facility. This course is specifically designed to assist the Plant Manager and Environmental Health and Safety Manager with meeting these rules in order to avoid enforcement issues.
This Annual Update is designed for large and small quantity generators of hazardous wastes. It satisfies the training requirements under 40 CFR 265.16, 22 CCR 66262.34(a)(4) & 66265.16
The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) requires that facility personnel be trained to “perform their duties in away that ensures the facility’s compliance” with hazardous waste regulations. This RCRA course covers the general area of waste management training
This 3-hour course covers the RCRA’s “cradle to grave” rules, the California Specific Hazardous Waste Rule and regulations and the implications on Superfund.
What will you learn:
How to navigate California's complex waste identification rules
Take advantage of hazardous waste recycling rules (Exempt Recyclable Materials)
Management for electronics, aerosols, treated wood, and other special or universal waste
Key requirements for storing and treating hazardous waste on site
Reporting and recordkeeping rules you must know
Emergency preparedness, contingency plans
