The crowds you will be seeing on the roads during the third weekend of March will all be heading for one destination....Knoxville, TN and the Spring Thaw Fishing Expo!  This fishing show will be the way you remember fishing shows.

We have undertaken the task of producing a first-class fishing show which means there are some things we won't have that you have grown accustomed to seeing at "outdoor" shows.  You will not find any vinyl siding, sun rooms or hearing aids for sale.  We are not filling up spaces with multiple cell phone companies, or those selling satellite systems.

What you will find, is booth after booth of boats , rods, reels, lures and other tackle.  You may also locate the latest fishing electronics, a guide service, or gather information about fisheries management from the experts.  In addition, it's a sure bet you will be able to meet some of the top anglers in the nation, as they make appearances during the show

There will be something for everyone in attendance and most exhibitors will have "show only" specials for the duration of this event, saving attendees money on all boating and fishing needs.

If you can only attend for one day, make plans to be hand Saturday evening as the anglers fishing the $10,000 Spring Thaw Open bring their catch to the scales.  Some of the top anglers in the area will be lining up to have their catch weighed, as we broadcast the weigh-in live on 2-20' video screens at the Expo.   This portion of the show alone is worth the price of admission.  We are confident you will see some fantastic bass. taken from Douglas Lake, brought to the scales as anglers compete for a share of the guaranteed $10,000 prize money.

We were careful not to leave the children out of the mix during this show.  Bring your children and let them for free in our "Mountain Trout Steam" or they might like to enter the casting competition to win one of the rod and reel combos we will be giving away.  Perhaps your children would like to take a spin on the TWRA's Jet Ski simulator or spend time at TWRA's fish tank, looking at the various local species of fish on display.
