Play-dough Club              Dining Room                  With Lauren Roach

Clay/ Play-dough club offers children the chance to get creative, get messy, and (most importantly) have fun, whilst developing hand-eye coordination and motor skills. Activities will vary each week; some weeks will focus on individual projects and some on larger group projects. There will be tasks set, games played, and we will even be making our own play-dough! The main aim of this ASA is to enable your child’s creativity to flourish whilst providing an enriching learning experience.

Please send your child an old t-shirt or apron they can wear for this activity.

Native French Speaking                  B207                with Annie Guibert

Primary-age French native pupils or near-native pupils will meet once a week with the 2 French native teachers in order to improve their speaking, reading and writing skills. The content may vary according to the needs of individuals, but will include learning through games, songs, poems and books for young children. The older pupils may focus more on their reading comprehension and their writing (spelling and grammatical accuracy).

KS1 ICT Club                        Primary ICT                         with Charles Cowan

This club will provide children an opportunity to improve their ability in using computers, as well as explore the many opportunities, for study and fun, that computers have to offer.

KS.1 Library Club                  Primary Library                  With Taurus Wu

Does your child love to read and wish they had that little bit longer in the library, then this is the ASA for you! Each week children will share a reading experience, discuss stories and develop their reading comprehension. Followed by some free time in the library to dive into a book.

KS.1 Word Puzzles                  1MK                  With Rebecca Fennell

Come put your word skills to the test in this fun ASA that will challenge children with a variety of word problems. From word-searches to crosswords, this ASA is a fun way to develop your language skills. Puzzles will be pitched to a variety of levels to ensure that fun is the objective.

Beginner's French            3CB             With Jo Brightwell & Gloria Dai

This ASA is for children to start learning French in a fun way. We will start with the topic 'All about me' and will learn how to say simple phrases to introduce ourselves. By the end of the term we should be able to say our name, age, where we live, talk about our family and also our likes and dislikes. We will possibly also learn some numbers and colours. Lots of the learning will be through songs and games.

Spanish Native speakers         B205                  With Claudia Alvarez

Durante la segunda temporada de ASAs el Departamento de Lenguas Modernas ofrecerá Español para hablantes nativos. Durante estas sesiones semanales, ampliaremos nuestro vocabulario y el dominio de nuestra lengua materna.
