UpRooted Dance is a contemporary dance theater project based dance company. The company is committed to creating inventive, original, and imaginative dance works that evoke the audience's senses and bring about a new awareness of the human condition. Uprooted Dance is committed to using an array of visual elements such as costume design, set design, video, and other mediums to enhance the movement and expressive qualities of the work. The company is led by Keira Hart-Mendoza who has shown work across the US and abroad.
pro ekoh dance
Founded by Sara Hoke, pro ekoh dance has been showcased in several local and traveling shows, including Artomatic, District Dance Share and Joy of Motion's Dance Project. Hoke is committed to bringing untraditional dance composition to D.C. while staying true to the physicality and form of contemporary movement.
